The only differences between generics and their brand-name counterparts is that generics are less expensive and may look slightly different (eg. A generic drug is a copy of the brand-name drug with the same dosage, safety, strength, quality, consumption method, performance, and intended use. Generics are less expensive because generic manufacturers don't have to invest large sums of money to develop a drug.

After 15 minutes, the skin is checked for a reaction. Patients who experience minor or negative reactions to allergy tests often experience minimal to no pain. Simply put, allergies are the immune system overreacting to certain stimuli – like pollen or a specific food.

Since 1952, we’ve served the Charlotte community with specialized care for those who deal with allergies and asthma. This requires a two- to three-year fellowship in allergy/immunology, on top of the medical residency.
