Adderall Adderall is a brand name for the combination of drugs dextroamphetamine and amphetamine. The effects of Adderall IR start to wear off after four hours (and after 12 hours for Adderall XR). Strattera also affects the reuptake of norepinephrine, but it is a non-stimulant medication. Once therapeutic levels have been reached, the effects of the medication last 24 hours. The main difference is that Strattera is a non-stimulant, while Adderall is a psychostimulant medication.

Norepinephrine is proven in medical studies to optimize central nervous system (CNS) performance, improve brain plasticity and memory consolidation. Strattera is part of a class of drugs called norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. ADHD is a condition that affects both children and adults.

Adding epinephrine to local anesthetics can make them last longer. Norepinephrine Healthcare professionals sometimes use norepinephrine to treat septic shock, a severe infection that can lead to organ failure. An epinephrine injection may restart your heart if your heart has stopped pumping (cardiac arrest). This infection tends to cause dangerously low blood pressure. Norepinephrine given through an IV can help constrict blood vessels, increasing blood pressure.
