Obelit inhibits enzymes responsible for the breakdown of fat in intestine, thereby preventing the digestion and absorption of fats from intestine. Combined with a low-calorie diet and exercise, Obelit is an FDA-approved anti-obesity medication.
For better efficacy of the medicine, fat-rich foods should be avoided along with the medicine. The whole thing has to be ingested. Unless your doctor instructs you to, it should not be taken for an extended period of time. It functions best when combined with regular exercise and a balanced diet. Obelit should be taken for the prescribed amount of time and in the prescribed dosage with food.
If you lose enough weight for your BMI to fall below 28 kg/m², Obelit can no longer be supplied. Three times per day, during or up to an hour after the main meal, take one Obelit tablet orally. If you consume 1200 calories per day, no more than 360 of those calories should come from fat. This percentage should not exceed 30% of your total daily caloric intake. Three main meals per day that each contain the recommended amount of protein, carbohydrates, and fat should be part of the patient's diet. If a meal is skipped or does not contain fat, the Obelit dosage should be skipped. Treatment with Obelit should not continue for more than 6 months and should be stopped after 12 weeks if patient has been unable to lose at least 5 % of the body weight.
Do not exceed the doctor's recommended dose. If it is the time for the next dose you should continue your regular dosing schedule. If you forget to take a dose, you should do so as soon as you realize.
You should seek emergency medical attention or get in touch with your healthcare provider right away if you experience an overdose and feel unwell.
Keep away from children's reach. Store away from excessive heat and moisture at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). After its expiration date, throw away any unused medication.
You should contact your doctor right away if any side effects bother you. The presence of fat in the stool, abdominal pain, and diarrhea are a few of the Obelit's typical side effects.
While taking Obelit, stay away from meals high in fat. While taking Obelit, avoid using weight-loss supplements, anti-diabetic medications, pravastatin (Pravachol), vitamins A, E, and K, cyclosporine (Sandimmune, Neoral), and beta-carotene. Avoid stopping Obelit abruptly. If any of the ingredients in Obelit make you sick, avoid taking it. If you are pregnant, intend to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding, avoid taking Obelit. Use caution when taking Obelit if you have diabetes, chronic malabsorption syndrome, gallbladder disease, or kidney disease (kidney stones). Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and high cholesterol sufferers can all use Obelit. Obelit is approved to be taken along with nutritionally balanced, low-calorie diet and physical activity. Obelit can be harmful to children and is only meant for use by adults.
