Contraindications
To lessen the likelihood that you will experience this side effect, make sure to brush your teeth thoroughly and visit the dentist frequently while you are receiving treatment. In order to confirm that you have consistently received the same brand of cyclosporine, check the brand name printed on your prescription label each time your prescription is filled. If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: dizziness swelling of the arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs fast, shallow breathing nausea irregular heartbeat If you have psoriasis, tell your doctor about all the psoriasis treatments and medications you are using or have used in the past. Call your doctor right away if you experience any of the following symptoms: sore throat, fever, chills, and other signs of infection, flu-like symptoms, coughing difficulty urinating, red, raised, or swollen skin, new sores or discoloration on the skin, lumps or masses anywhere on your body, night sweats, swollen glands in the neck, armpits, or groin, difficulty breathing, chest pain, weakness, or fatigue that does not go away Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboratory. To improve the drug's absorption in the body, cyclosporine is also available as a modified (changed) form called neoral. Neoral may cause your gums to grow extra tissue. Both the original and modified forms of cyclosporine are absorbed by the body differently and cannot be used interchangeably. Use only the brand of cyclosporine that your doctor prescribed. Neoral may increase your risk of contracting an infection or cancer, particularly skin cancer and lymphoma, which are diseases of the immune system. If the brand name is unfamiliar to you or you are unsure that you have received the correct type of cyclosporine, speak with your pharmacist. Inform your doctor if you are receiving phototherapy (a form of psoriasis treatment that involves exposing the skin to ultraviolet light), have low levels of magnesium or cholesterol, or ever have. In addition to disclosing your use of any of these medications, make sure your doctor knows if you currently have or have ever had cancer of any kind. If you have high blood pressure or have ever had kidney disease, let your doctor know. If you've ever received treatment for psoriasis with PUVA (psoralen and UVA), methotrexate (Rheumatrex), or other immune-suppressing drugs, UVB (exposure to ultraviolet B light to treat psoriasis), coal tar, radiation therapy, or other skin conditions, you run a higher risk of developing skin cancer. Neoral may increase your risk of infection if you also take other drugs like azathioprine (Imuran), cancer chemotherapy, methotrexate (Rheumatrex), sirolimus (Rapamune), and tacrolimus (Prograf). Plan to avoid unnecessary or prolonged sun exposure, and while undergoing treatment, wear protective clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen to lower your risk of developing skin cancer. When your doctor gives you a written prescription, check to be sure that he or she has specified the type of cyclosporine you should receive. If you are using Neoral to treat your psoriasis, you shouldn't use PUVA, UVB, or immune-suppressing drugs. To check your body's reaction to Neoral, your doctor may order a few lab tests.
For the emotional problems, I followed two classes of Mindfulness. The acute thyroid inflammation of my partner was life threatening because my wife has no spleen from the age of four, because she has congenital sferocytose. After two eye operations for new lenses this problem was solved. I got new inhaler medicine with low doses of prednisone.

It is usually taken along with other medications to allow your new organ to function normally. It works by slowing down your body's defense system (immune system) to prevent your body from rejecting a transplanted organ, further damaging your joints (in rheumatoid arthritis patients), or further damaging your skin (in psoriasis patients). Cyclosporine is also used to treat severe rheumatoid arthritis and a certain skin condition (severe psoriasis). Because different brands deliver different amounts of medication, do not switch brands of cyclosporine without your doctor's permission and directions. Laboratory tests (e.g., kidney function tests, blood tests) may be performed to monitor your progress.
