Description
If an acute attack occurs, a fast-acting (‘rescue’) medicine is required. Leukotrienes, which are naturally occurring chemicals in the lungs, are what cause the airways to narrow and the lungs to become inflamed, resulting in symptoms like coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. This medication works by blocking these chemicals. Cipla produces the Montair tablet. For the treatment of an asthma attack, do not take Montair tablets. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) used for the maintenance and treatment of asthma, the prevention of the narrowing of airways brought on by exercise, and the relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms, is the medication's active pharmaceutical ingredient.
Missed dose
Do not exceed the doctor’s recommended dose. Never take two doses at once to make up for missed ones. Continue your regular dosing schedule if it is time for the next dose. You should take the missed Montair dose as soon as you remember.
Overdose
You should seek emergency medical attention or get in touch with your healthcare provider right away if you experience an overdose and feel unwell.
Storage
Keep out of the reach of children. Until you're ready to take your pills, keep them in the blister pack. Avoid excessive heat and moisture while storing at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). After its expiration date, throw away any unused medication.
