Can I use elocon ointment on my face?
Do not use ELOCON Ointment on the face, underarms, or groin areas. Do not use ELOCON Ointment for any disorder other than that for which it was prescribed. Do not bandage or otherwise cover or wrap the treated skin area so as to be occlusive, unless directed by the physician.
How long should you use elocon for?
Only use the cream or ointment for longer than 5 days if your doctor tells you to. Speak to your doctor if your skin gets worse or does not get better within 14 days of using mometasone skin treatments.

If the patient responds before the two-week limit, the agent should be stopped immediately. Adjuvant therapy including use of a dandruff shampoo, an anti-fungal agent, or both, is essential during the “pulse” period and should be continued as maintenance therapy after each pulse.
