If you experience any strange side effects while taking this medication, call your doctor right away. Side effects from cefuroxime are possible. The following symptoms should be reported to your doctor if they are severe or persistent: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, itching, hives, difficulty breathing or swallowing, wheezing, swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, or eyes, watery or bloody stools, stomach cramps, or fever during treatment or for up to two or more months after stopping treatment, a return of fever, sore throat, chills, or other infection-related symptoms. Some side effects can be serious.

Contraindications
Driving and using large machinery shouldn't be done until you know how cefuroxime affects you.
