Description

A non-steroidal androgen receptor inhibitor, bicilutamide is a prescription drug that is part of this group of drugs. A medication known as a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone, or LHRH, is administered along with bicalutamide. Bicalutamide is a drug that is used to treat prostate cancer that has metastatic (spread to other parts of the body) disease. The safety and efficacy of bicalutamide tablets in children are unknown. The production of testosterone by the testicles is inhibited by LHRH.

Dosage

Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully. Exactly as directed, take bicalutamide. Once daily administration of 50 mg of bicalutamide is advised.

Missed dose

Side effects
